Easy and Successful Brownies

  • 150 g butter
  • 200 g good quality dark chocolate
  • 50 g unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp instant coffee
  • 3 eggs
  • 100 g granulated sugar
  • Vanilla / pinch of salt
  • 50 g flour

1. Preheat the Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Prepare a 20×20 cm (8×8 inch) baking pan by lining it with parchment paper.

2. Melt the Butter and Chocolate:

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter and dark chocolate. Microwave in short bursts (20-30 seconds), stirring in between until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.

3. Add Cocoa and Coffee:

  • Add the unsweetened cocoa powder and instant coffee to the melted chocolate and butter mixture, stirring until well combined.

4. Beat the Eggs and Sugar:

  • In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with the granulated sugar and vanilla/pinch of salt using an electric mixer until the mixture is light and frothy.

5. Combine the Mixtures:

  • Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg and sugar mixture. Stir gently until fully combined.

6. Add the Flour:

  • Sift the flour over the mixture and gently fold it in using a wooden spoon or spatula until just combined.

7. Pour into the Pan:

  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.

8. Bake:

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are set and the top is shiny. The center should still be slightly moist.

9. Cool and Serve:

  • Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before cutting them into small squares. Serve and enjoy!
